The following general formula will provide a starting point for the breaking strength required for your Strapping product, depending on the application. The ratio applies to the total breaking strength of the belt, so the required tensile strength must be divided by the number of belts to be used. In addition, strapping requirements are affected by many other factors besides weight. The intended use, handling characteristics and load characteristics of the belt must be included in the specifications. Therefore, packages traveling long distances under adverse conditions will require additional protection.

Carton reinforcement: The 3:1 ratio of the total strength of the belt break to the weight of the package is a good guide for reinforcement applications.

Palletizing box: Use the following formula to determine the belt breaking strength under palletizing load:

Pallet weight x 1.5 / number of belts = required tensile strength

Packing and bundling: In this application, the Packing Tape is the packing tape. In order to prevent malfunctions, please use the ratio of the breaking strength of the strapping strap to the weight of the package at 5:1.
